Workspaces
Broadcast several projects at once from one biga.json.
To broadcast several projects together, list them in a biga.json in the
directory you run biga start from:
{
"projects": [
{ "dir": "backend", "title": "API" },
{ "dir": "frontend" }
]
}Then a bare biga start broadcasts both. Each project gets its own session and
its own link, and the sessions are linked on the server as one workspace.
Fields
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
projects | Required, and non-empty. The projects to broadcast. |
projects[].dir | The project's directory, resolved relative to the biga.json. Duplicates are an error. |
projects[].title | Optional. The session's title. |
workspaceId | Written by the CLI on first use; see below. |
The generated workspaceId
On first use the CLI adds a workspaceId (like ws-4k2m9x1a) to the top of
the file so the workspace's link stays stable. Commit it along with the rest
of the file.
Precedence
Directories passed on the command line (as arguments or --dir) take
precedence over biga.json, which takes precedence over the current
directory. Directories given on the command line are not grouped into a
workspace; only a biga.json does that.
--title and --session are rejected when more than one project is being
broadcast, because each project needs its own.
